Ralph Douglas Thompson, age 60, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Reid Health.
Born March 20, 1961, in Richmond, Indiana, to Richard and Edna Wilbur Thompson, Doug was a life-long resident of this community. He was a truck driver for Dean Vickers Farm & Truck, Inc. for several years. Doug was an avid race fan, including dirt track racing, drag racing, and NASCAR. He also liked semi-trucks. Most of all, Doug loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughters, Brandy (Kenneth) Herbert and Jennifer Thompson, both of Richmond; grandchildren, Tyler, Braden, and Shay; brother, Richard Thompson of Shirley, Indiana; sister, Teresa (Brent) Ferguson of Centerville, Indiana; brother-in-law and longtime lunch companion and friend, Dean Vickers; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, including his dog and best friend, Bubby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marcia Caskey and Laura Vickers.
Visitation for Ralph Douglas Thompson will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville.
