Nancy Ann (Raper) Brookbank, age 85, of Richmond, Indiana, left to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Born July 13, 1936, in Richmond, Indiana, to Ray and Carrie “Mildred” Parker Raper, Nancy was a life-long resident of Richmond. She attended Evangelical United Brethren Church College in Indianapolis, Indiana and Indiana Business College. After Tom Raper started Tom Raper RV’s, she worked as his General Office Manager for 37 years, when the Tom Raper Foundation began in 1981, she became a board member and Secretary.

Nancy was saved at age 14 at Calvary Baptist Church in Richmond, and it was one of her greatest pleasures to serve alongside Tom and Suzanne Raper in furthering the Kingdom of Christ. After retiring, Nancy devoted her time doing weekly devotions at nursing homes and mentoring children at local schools. She was a member of LifeSpring Church. Nancy also enjoyed birdwatching, cats, reading, working puzzles and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her twin daughters, Karen (Robert) Bussing of Richmond and Sharon (Danny) Lyles of Richmond; sons, Terry (Cheryl) Brookbank of Franklin, Ohio, and Michael (Sheri) Brookbank of Richmond; sister, Carolyn Runzer; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Lee “Jerry” Brookbank; daughter, Debra Cordine; brother, Tom Raper; sister, Sally Sue Fares; and granddaughter, Staci Lyles.

Visitation for Nancy Ann Raper Brookbank will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
