Melba G. Allen, 100, of Richmond, died March 27, 2022, at Arbor Trace in Richmond. She was born on January 24, 1922, in Somerset, Kentucky to William and Bessie Murphy. She was a cook and worked at Clevenger’s Grocery, Servomation, Miller’s Cafeteria, and Retired from MCL Cafeteria.
Survivors include two daughters Jo Ann (Tom) Bass of Richmond and Nancy (Allen) Cross of Albany, Kentucky, two sons Donald (Vickey) Allen of Richmond, and Jerry (Donna) Allen of Abington, fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband George in 1992, two sons Charles Allen and Steve Allen, half-sister Zona Sole, and one half-brother Russell Murphy.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
