Marlene L. Thompson, 83, of Boston died December 31, 2021, at Reid Health after a short illness. She was born March 21, 1938, in Dayton, Ohio to Thomas Robert Barlow Sr. and Katherine Sute Maloney and lived here most of her life. She retired as a bus driver for Richmond Community Schools and worked at Walmart.

Survivors include one daughter Donna Firth of Springfield, Ohio, four grandchildren Shawna Spada, Danielle Garcia, Caleb Wright, and Kelsey Wright 6 great-grandchildren Lina, Sicilia, Salvatore, Joscelin, Rhiana, and Audrey, two great-great-grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew. Her husband Walter died on February 9, 2012, and was also preceded in death by two daughters Cheryl Wright and Amber McDaniel, and her brother Thomas Barlow Jr.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home 222 North 10th Street in Richmond with Rev. Malcolm Green officiating. Her burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
