Kenneth Duane “Kenny” Hutton, age 88, of Centerville, Indiana, died Monday, February 21, 2022, at Reid Health.

Born February 18, 1934, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Chester and Lelia Alexander Hutton, Kenny lived in Wayne County, Indiana, most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army. Kenny was a carpenter by trade. He retired from Earlham College, where he was the director of the Physical Plant. Kenny was a Christian man, who liked studying the Bible. He attended First Baptist Church of Centerville and previously served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of Cambridge City. Kenny enjoyed woodworking, researching Civil War history, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Clemonts Hutton; daughters, Debbie (Ron) Lindley of Greenfield, Indiana, and Connie Hutton of Centerville; son, Kenneth Hutton of Centerville; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene of California; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and brother.

Visitation for Kenneth Duane “Kenny” Hutton will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. James Girdley officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
