Joshua James Davis-Pate, 44, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born June 17, 1978 in New Castle, Indiana, a son of the late Patricia Davis.
He attended New Castle High School and received his GED with honors. Josh was a wonderful family man, who would do anything for anyone. He was a great father & companion and loved to cut up. Josh never met a stranger and attended services online at Elevation Church. He loved life and even gave life back through organ donation. Josh loved the outdoors and animals.
Survivors include his son, Xander Davis-Pate; fiancé, Jodi Goff of New Castle; uncles, Ronnie (Sylvia) Davis of Sandsprings, OK; Donnie (Candas) Davis of Mooreland, James Davis of New Castle; aunt, Mary DeHart of New Castle; mother of Xander, Norma Hoover of New Castle; soon to be father-in-law, Denny Adams; close friend, Jeremy Bonewits; many cousins & other friends and his cat, Kiki.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Davis; grandparents, Oliver Albert & Geneva Mae Davis and an aunt, Barbara Davis.
Services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Paul Davis officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Joshua J.
