Johnny L. Allman, age 72, a New Castle resident, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson, Indiana. He was born April 10, 1950, in Seymour, Indiana, a son of the late Joseph and Laura (Allman) Crabtree.

He was employed at Rose Acre Farms. Johnny was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts football and Kentucky Wildcats basketball. He was known to have never met a stranger. Johnny especially enjoyed and loved his dog, “Baby.”

He is survived by one sister, Allene (Charley) Duvall; several nieces and nephews, Angela Sue New, Pete, Michael, Ashley, Jonathon, and McKinley Duvall; Pamela Mundy, Jason Crabtree, Jeremy Moron; sisters-in-law; Vesta Crabtree and Janet Crabtree several cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joey, Jackie, and Harmie Crabtree; two nephews, Scott Joseph Crabtree and Austin Murphy.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Rose City Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad St., New Castle. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m., until service time at the funeral home.
