John Wayne Moreland, age 35, passed away on Tuesday September 6, 2022, at Reid Health in Richmond. John was born on October 29, 1986, the son of Richard Moreland and the late Tina Cook.
He was known as a jack of all trades and had received a Certificate of Serve Safe for food handling. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing. He also loved to mushroom hunt in the spring, riding bicycles, playing bingo or just enjoying the outdoors.
In addition to his father, his memories will be cherished by the love of his life for the past 15 years, Ella Hamilton and her children who he thought of as his own, Devin (Maylyn) Hamilton, Corey Werner, Ravyn Moore and Uriah Oliver; and a granddaughter, Emberlie Moore. He will be thought of often by many cousins, and friends as well as a special aunt and uncle Jim and Charlene Lawson of Kentucky, who helped raise him.
Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by his honorary grandparents, Johnny and Elva Jane Fields.
Cremation was chosen and no services are scheduled at this time.
