John Paul Ingermann, age 87, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday October 30, 2022, at Arbor Trace.

Born December 16, 1934, in Milton, Indiana, to Colbert Cummins Ingermann and Eula Mae Joyner Ingermann O`Connell Conley, John was a resident of this community most of his life. He was a 1953 graduate of Bentonville High School.  John was a lineman for Richmond Power & Light for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He is also a retired Methodist minister, serving in New Castle, Indiana.  John enjoyed hunting, camping, the outdoors, Rock Solid Ministries, and mission trips.  He was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Lou Gartin of Richmond; sons, John “Steve” (Julia) Ingermann of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Jeff Ingermann of Richmond, Indiana; brothers, Keith (Kathy) Ingermann, and Terry Joe (Dawn) O`Connell; 9 grandchildren, 27great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Betty Lou (Barnes) Ingermann; parents; sister, Patricia Hill; sister, Betty Ray Chowning; and brothers, Malcolm and Robert Ingermann.

Visitation for John Paul Ingermann will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery.
