Jane Turner Reeder, 80, of West Manchester died peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022. She passed quietly to her Heavenly Home surrounded by her husband and loving family.
Jane was born December 17, 1941 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Fremont and Opal Eyler Turner and has been a resident of West Manchester most of her life. Jane loved her God, her husband Reynold (of 60 Years), her daughters and sons-in-law, grandchildren, and her extended family, friends, and neighbors.
Jane graduated Monroe High School (1959) and Miami Jacobs College in Dayton and worked briefly for NCR before starting a family. She then spent the rest of her life dedicated to her family and managing the household! She attended the West Manchester United Church of Christ for over 60 years and participated in all facets of God’s work in that church. She attended Wares Chapel Methodist Church for the last several years and has many friends and relatives who attend there; all have given her much love and support during her illness. In addition to church, she was involved for many years in her community by serving on the Village Council, water board clerk, poll worker for the Board of Elections, Preble County Youth Foundation, and others. She was an avid flower gardener, prolific reader, and always kept up with what was happening in Preble County and beyond.
Jane is survived by her husband Reynold (Rey); daughters: Rachelle (Rich) Oltean of Cary, North Carolina, Jennifer (Rick) Boone of Sherwood, Wisconsin, and Amy (Todd) Britt of Gainesville, Georgia; grandchildren: Ashley Boone (Taylor) Otto of Rochester, Minnesota, Sara Boone (Alex) Ryba of Appleton, Wisconsin; Emily Britt, Reagan Britt, and Will Britt of Gainesville, Georgia. Jane is also survived by her brother Michael (Nancy) Turner of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister Ann Turner Glidewell (Forest) of Greenville, and all their children and grandchildren; her aunt Phoebe Turner Stayton of Sidney and many cousins on both sides of her family. Jane had a great mind and an impeccable memory that never ceased to amaze us all; she was a quiet, unassuming, generous loving person that gave most of her life to her family, friends, and community. We are all blessed that she was in our life!
