Irvin L. “Bud” Toschlog, age 87, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Reid Health.

Born September 3, 1934, in Centerville, Indiana, to Anthony “Tony” and Ethel E. Sitloh Toschlog, Bud lived in Wayne County, Indiana, most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army. Bud retired from Dana Corporation, where he worked for 22 years. Bud also farmed. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 167. Bud enjoyed pitching horseshoes and had bowled in the same bowling league for 50 years.

Survivors include his daughters, Vanessa (Vince) Sams of Webster, Indiana, and Diana Toschlog and Julia (Del) Caudill, both of Richmond; sons, Glenn (Linda) Toschlog of Fishers, Indiana, Phillip (Sandee) Toschlog of Connersville, Indiana, and Darin (DeeDee) Doner of Richmond; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen King of Cambridge City, Indiana; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ruth Ann Johnson Toschlog, who died May 23, 2016; infant son, Brad Andrew Toschlog; parents; sisters, Edith Hunt, Dorothy Bailey, Helen Weiss, and Hazel Sadler; and brothers, Cletus, Harold, and Carl Toschlog.

Memorial visitation for Irvin L. “Bud” Toschlog will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
