Herbert Nolan Isaacs, age 89, of Cambridge City, passed away on April 27, 2022. Born on October 24, 1932, in Estill County, Kentucky, he is one of thirteen children of the late Godfrey Pearl and Anna May Rader Isaacs. At the age of 16, he moved to Indiana with his parents and siblings.
On January 30, 1954, in Connersville, he married Laura Lou May. They had enjoyed 68 years together and were blessed with two daughters.
Herb retired from Ford and its predecessors in 1995 after 43 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, knife collecting, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed traveling to and watching his grandchildren at all their sporting actives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Janet (Tom) Roberts of Richmond and Lou Ann (Tim) Hildebrand of Milton, two grandchildren, Adam Hildebrand of Losantville and Jesica Hildebrand of Noblesville; twin great granddaughters, Kiley and Avery Hildebrand; a brother, Kenneth Isaacs of Connersville; two sisters, Lena Showalter of Connersville and Charlene Isaacs of Liberty; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Carlis, Odell, Cletis and Harold Isaacs; and five sisters, Daisy Isaacs, Julie Isaacs, Birdie Collins, Beulah Sizemore and Callie Burgdoerfer.
Friends and family may gather at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday May 3, 2022, at 11:00 am with Pastor Rob Judd officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Grove Cemetery.
