Helen Mae Dumford, 80, of Hagerstown, died at her home on Friday, April 1, 2022.
She was born in Albany, KY on February 22, 1942 to Willie C. and Stella (Booher) Griffin and lived most of her life in the Hagerstown area. She was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene and a retired employee of Dana Corp.
Survivors include 2 children, Christopher Dumford of Hagerstown and Dianna Parkhurst of Louisville, KY; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Nathan, Brandon, Alexis and Jacob; 8 great-grandchildren; 7 siblings, James Griffin of Anderson, Elsie Peyton of Richmond, Larry Griffin (Patty) of Vancouver, WA, Martin Griffin of Anderson, Marilyn Grider (John) of Leesburg, FL, Martha Bivens of New Castle and Cynthia Lacy of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Dumford, and a son, Michael Dumford.
Visitation will be 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 9, at Culberson Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor Craig Dusek will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
