Donna L. Lawrence, age 99, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at her home.

Born December 28, 1922, in Peru, Indiana, to Charles and Muriel Ida Latta, Donna moved to Richmond with her family in 1953. She married her high school sweetheart, Glen E. Lawrence, on September 1, 1942, and they were happily married for 75 years before his death in October 2017. Donna served as a volunteer at Reid Memorial Hospital for 50 years, where she worked in the gift shop and made flower arrangements. Donna was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She loved working in her yard and mowing her grass. Donna also enjoyed reading mystery/suspense novels.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sandy Emmons and Nancy Harmer, both of Richmond; five grandchildren, Mark (Robin) Baker and Debby (Bob) Sizemore, both of Richmond, Carole Ann (Scott) Kramer of Centerville, Indiana, Amanda Harmer of Columbus, Ohio, and Michael (Teri) Harmer of Cambridge City, Indiana; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters; two brothers; and sons-in-law, Donald Harmer and B.C. Emmons.

The family would like to thank the AseraCare Hospice team and Donna’s caretakers for their support during her end-of-life care.

A private graveside service for Donna L. Lawrence will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Chuck Miller officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
