Donald Ray McCracken, 77, of Losantville, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

He was born at Mt. Vernon, KY on May 15, 1944 to John and Zadie (Higgins) McCracken and moved to Indiana in 1960.  He was a long time employee of Imperial Kitchens and a member and trustee of Victory Baptist Church in Richmond, where he was active in all of the church projects.  Don had a kind and caring nature which led him to help friends and family with any of their needs.  To know him was to love him.  He will be deeply missed. He was an accomplished woodworker.  He was known for producing many yoyos, which he gave to those around him.  He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Survivors include 2 children, Donald L. McCracken (Penny) and Amy Hollingsworth (Matt); 5 grandchildren, Jesse McCracken, Chantelle McCracken, Savanah McCracken, Cheyenne McCracken and Justice Hollingsworth; 2 great-grandchildren, Athena and Jay; a sister, Irene Ross and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Eloise McCracken, in 2010 and 3 brothers, Cecil McCracken, Larry McCracken and Lee McCracken.

Visitation will be 11 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday, February 8, at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown.  Services will follow at 1:00 PM.  Pastor Darren McClintock will officiate.  Burial will be in West River Friends Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the food bank at Temple of God or Gateway, both of Richmond, where he volunteered for many years.
