Deborah S. Adams, age 70, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She was born November 19, 1951, in Indianapolis. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Katherine (Owens) Gregory.

She graduated from Centerville Sr. High School, Class of 1970. She was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church where she was a Bible school teacher. She collected Longaberger baskets, and Dr. Suess’ and was a Girl Scout leader. She worked at JC Penney; then went on to work at the Rose Hamilton Elementary School as a computer lab tech. She enjoyed her Lunch Bunch Group from Rose Hamilton Elementary School. She loved spending time visiting and talking with family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma (Nana), and great grandma. She was a child of God and read her Bible. Her faith was strong and loved donating to the food ministry.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Cecil Adams Jr.; three children: Jessica Lawson (Trent) from Richmond, IN, Carrie Ingle (Adams) from Richmond, IN and Craig Adams (Kimberlee) from Tempe, AZ; six grandchildren: Preston Lawson (Katrina), Erica Malicoat (Cody), Brianna Ingle, William Ingle, Conner Adams, and Lila Adams; two great grandchildren: Corbin Phillips, Riley Phillips, with Erica and Cody expecting in March; brother: Mark Gregory of Knightstown, IN; aunt: Phyllis Johnson (Owens). Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins and brother in-laws: John Huffman from Florida, Jason Adams from Centerville, IN and Andy Adams from Columbus, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Katherine (Owens) Gregory; and a sister: Sandi Huffman (Gregory).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Centerville United Methodist Church Food Ministry.
