Cletius L. “Bud” Parish, 82, of Orange City, Florida passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at his residence. He was born January 10, 1939 in Chauncey, West Virginia, a son of the late William H. and Mayme (Norris) Parrish.

Bud retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1997 after 30 years of service. He had also worked for Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit & RCA in Marion. Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. An avid musician, he played guitar, keyboard, bass and vocals with various bands. Bud enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include nine children, Christie (William) Roth of Orange City, Florida, Daphne Garrett of Eustis, Florida, Melvin “Dean” Orr of Shelbyville, Tony Prater of Oak Hill, Florida, Ronnie Parrish of New Castle, Lori Teter of New Castle, Mike Parrish of Kempton, IN Jamie Parish of Keller, TX and Jodi (Troy) Baker of New Castle; 50+ grandchildren & great grandchildren; five siblings, David Parrish, Darlene Parrish, Wanda West, Sue Coffey and Lois Archey; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra K. Parish in 2015; son, John Parish; and three siblings, Janice Halphin, Pauline Bell and Phyllis Wilhelm.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with his son-in-law, Bill Roth officiating. Military rites will be conducted by a contingent of the U.S. Army, the American Legion and the VFW. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
