Connersville resident, Charlotte “Tork” Lynn Ailes, 69, died March 28, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Tork was born to Sidney R. and M. Carolyn (Moody) Parke on January 13, 1953 in Richmond, Kentucky. She attended and graduated from Connersville High School. Tork married George “Dave” Ailes on June 17, 1972. She was faithfully employed at Kroger for many years until her retirement in 2021. Tork lived a simple yet wholesome life. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, watching Harry Potter and taking care of her canine companions, Doodle and Ahja. Tork was a people person who had a wonderful relationship with each of her customers. She loved to tell stories, especially ones about Dave and Tyler; both were her pride and joy. Tork will be remembered for her warm hugs, and will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.

Tork is survived by her only son: Tyler Ailes and his wife Casondra of Connersville; brother: Danny Parke and Pam of Kentucky; three sister in-laws; one brother in-law; many nieces and nephews and several friends.

In addition to her parents and in-laws, Tork is preceded in death by her loving husband Dave.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville, officiated by Joshua Lackey. Burial will follow at Lick Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Society in Tork’s honor.
