Mrs. Carolyn J. Clark, 94, of Williamsburg, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 20, at Reid Health.

She was born in Bentonville, Indiana on August 28, 1928 to Orville B. and Blanche H. Brake Applegeet. Carolyn was a 1946 graduate of Everton High School. She married J. Clayton Clark on December 22, 1946. They were blessed with three children and nearly 63 years of marriage before Clayton’s death on September 7, 2009.

Carolyn and Clayton worked as a team on their farm. She helped take care of the livestock and milk the cows. She was also a fabulous cook, preparing many meals for family and the farm hands.

Carolyn enjoyed playing Euchre with her friends and traveling. She was a former member of the Altrusa Women’s Club and the Indiana Holstein Association.

Carolyn will be missed by her daughter & son-in-law, Peggy & Terry Anderson; sons & daughters-in-law, Mark & Sandy Clark and Cliff & Charlene Clark; grandchildren: Derrick Clark, Deron (Angie) Clark, Dustin Clark, Nanette (Daryl) Gardner, Tammy (Andrew) Fultz, Rich (Kristi) Anderson, Jamie Clark, Wyatt (Segi) Clark, Alycia Owens; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Deany Steinard; and many nieces & nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Virginia Kuehn, Vivien Moore, Joyce Siefert, Janet Steinard, Charlotte Kidd and Sharon Blomeyer; brothers, Ronald Applegeet and Bill Applegeet.

Visitation for Carolyn will be from 11:00 am –1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South in Fountain City.

Carolyn’s life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Jacksonburg Cemetery.
