Carol Jean Becklund, 63, of New Castle, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie following an extended illness. She was born July 13, 1958 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Norman and Mary Ann (Bennett) Becklund.
Carol was a member of New Castle American Legion, VFW and Eagles Lodge. She loved Karaoke, playing BINGO and her two cats, Zorro & Max. Carol played guitar & DJ’d Karaoke at Scooters Bar & Grill. She had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include four sisters, Teresa Reese of Manchester, Tennessee, Brenda Becklund (Mike Owens) of New Castle, Linda (Jay) Smith of New Castle and Lisa (Mark) Jasper of Mt. Summit; brother, Rodney (Cindy) Becklund of Port Charlotte, Florida; eight nieces & nephews, whom she loved dearly, Millie Ann Teal, Micah Reese, Tobi Lynn Becklund, Joshua Greer, T.J. Pribble, Shane Pribble, Tyler Becklund and Ryan Becklund and several great nieces & great nephews that held a special place in her heart.
A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at American Legion Post 137 in New Castle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of Carol at www.hinsey-brown.com.
