Bernadette Marie Witte, 74, of Richmond, IN, fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Richmond to Francis John Witte and Frances Drake on September 14, 1947 and lived in Richmond most of her life.
Bernadette was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She retired from Big Lots in 2010 after 23 years of employment.
Survivors include her brother, Shaun Witte, her sister, Yvonne (Tim) Rudicil, sister-in-law, Sherry Witte, her daughter, Melissa (Joseph) Olt, and her son, John (Teresa) Brumley. Grandchildren are Rachel, Hannah, & Rebecca Olt, Tiffany Detro, Crystal Velasquez, and Bradley McKinney., She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, nieces, Angela Voiles and Karen King, nephew, Matthew Witte, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins in the U.S. and in England.
Bernadette is preceded in death by her parents, Francis John Witte and Frances Drake, grandson, Jeremy Crail, and nephew, Jason Paul Witte.

Visitation for Bernadette Marie Witte will be on Monday, March 28, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., followed by a short prayer service at Riggle-Waltermann, 32 South Eleventh Street, Richmond, IN. The funeral Mass will take place at noon at St. Mary Catholic Church followed by burial at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
