Barbara Jane Quick, 99, of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Summers’ Point in Winchester. She was born on October 28, 1922, in Richmond Indiana, to Elwood and Beulah (French) Shutz.
Barbara was a 1967 graduate of Richmond High School. She was a homemaker and a hard working farm wife. Barbara was a member of the Spartanburg Home Ec Club, various bowling leagues, and a member of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the First Church of Christ in Lynn. Barbara enjoyed mushroom hunting, hunting, and fishing as well as driving a tractor on the farm. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kathy (William) Clark; a son-in-law, David Longnecker; 6 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren; and a great great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Richard R. Quick in 2002; her parents; daughter, Judy Longnecker; a grandson, Randy Longnecker; and four sisters.
A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastors Peg Marose and Doug Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Earlham Cemetery in Richmond. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday, October 18 as well as an hour before services on Wednesday, all at the funeral home.
