Anna (Robinson) Daffron, age 68, a former New Castle resident, passed away Thursday morning, September 8, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 12, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter of the late Mable (Stapleton) Robinson.

Annie married the love of her life, David Daffron at the age of 15, and this year she will be with him again on his birthday Saturday September 10th. Annie was known to be an excellent cook and was especially known for her Annie’s Pies. She loved doing puzzles, playing games, and watching the game show network. Bingo was her #1 passion and she made sure all of the kids and grandkids were taken to Bingo on their 18th birthday. She was definitely the matriarch of the family, and everyone knew that. She would give you the shirt off of her back to anyone. She was known as a spitfire and when you look up the definition of stubborn, Annie’s photo is what you would see. Annie loved her nieces and nephews as her own and would speak to all of them regularly

Annie is survived by her children Cheryl Stanley, Tonya (Bobby) Haggard and David (Jennifer) Daffron; 6-grandchildren Haley Wilburn, Emily Wilburn, Peyton Asbury, Sophie Asbury, Davey Daffron & Dominic Daffron; siblings Mike Robinson, Ronnie (Lisa) Robinson, Milton Robinson and Sheena Jones and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to her mother, she is proceeded in death by her husband in January 2005, sister Carol Hilton.

Memorial Visitation will be held Friday September 16, 2022, from 3:00 PM ~ 5:00 PM at Rose City Funeral Home 2011 Broad St, New Castle. A Celebration of Life will take place Friday September 16, 2022, at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at a later date with her husband at South Mound Cemetery.
