Andrew “Andy” Wade Isaacs, age 43, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Reid Health surrounded by loved ones. He passed away due to complications from 40 years of severe epilepsy.
Born April 3, 1979, in Richmond, Indiana, to Danny and Susan Duke Isaacs, Andy lived most of his life in Richmond, but had also lived in Indianapolis, Indiana; Mobile, Alabama; and Beavercreek, Ohio, where he graduated high school. From the age of 15, Andy worked in restaurants, did landscaping, and a variety of other work.
Andy enjoyed spending time with his fiancée, music, playing PlayStation and basketball with his sons, and taking them to the pool and park. His love for his family was unconditional and he was always ready to help others whenever he was needed.
Survivors include his parents Susan Duke Isaacs and Danny (Annette) Isaacs; grandmothers, Catherine Isaacs and Michaele Duke; fiancée, Christy Fairchild; sons, Dylan Wade Isaacs and Tylor Gates; brothers, Zack (Kiersten) Isaacs, Jessa (Courtney) Isaacs; sisters, Michele (Brad) Overman and Rebecca (Brian) Adams; the mother of his brothers, Jackie Isaacs; aunts; uncles; nephews; cousins; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfathers, James Jerry Duke and John “Ben” Wade Isaacs.
There will be a public memorial gathering on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at The Dwyer Community Center, 1417 N. A Street, Richmond, where friends may express their condolences in person. The service for Andy will be a private event. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for the support and education of Andy’s young son, Dylan Isaacs. A special account has been set up at 3 Rivers Credit Union, 101 South 37th Street, Richmond. Checks should be made out to Dylan’s guardian, Susan Isaacs.
