Alan Idlewine, Sr., 78, of Springport passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at his residence. He was born July 19, 1944 in Anderson, Indiana, a son of the late Earnest and Nellie (Orr) Idlewine.
Alan retired from GM in 1999, following 23 years as a toolmaker. He loved his 1990 Corvette, working around the house and could make anything. Alan enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and sitting on his porch. Most of all, he loved his family and would do anything for them.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anita Idlewine; children, Kimmie (Walter) Brennan of Folsom, California, Alan Idlewine, Jr. of Losantville and Josh Idlewine of Muncie; grandchildren, Chasity (Brad) Keen, Dean (Sarah) Neal, Marissa Brennan and Jasmine (Demetri) Davis; nine great grandchildren and a special nephew, Tony Idlewine.
In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Idlewine and grandson, Michael Brennan.
