William Robert Stiefel (Bill), age 87, passed away December 11, 2021, in New Castle, Indiana. He was born August 30, 1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bill was a Mechanical Engineer and Systems Test and Evaluation Mgr. at Allison Gas Turbine, GMC from 1953 to 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Madge B. Stiefel (Dishman); brother, Jack Stiefel (wife, Nancy); two step- children, Allen Parker (wife, Amy), Angela Dishman (husband, Thomas); five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, Colin D. Stiefel in 2014.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Macer-Hall-Marcum Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad Street, New Castle. Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the National Museum of the US Air Force, Riverside, Ohio.
