W. Joyce Baker, age 92, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, May 21, 2021, at Rosebud Village.
Born July 6, 1928, in Lenoir City, Tennessee, to Mark and Deborah Cornett Cassady, Joyce was a life-long resident of Richmond. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Carla (Michael) Turner of Richmond; grandsons, Andrew Turner and Nick Turner; sister, Nell Fields of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Larry Cassady of Bloomington, Indiana; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Baker; daughter, Christine Jackson; parents; sister, Ruth Grimm; and brothers, Marcus, Donald, Glenn, and Arthur Cassady.
Graveside service for W. Joyce Baker will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021, at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, 1701 Liberty Avenue, Richmond, with Chaplain Rick Alvey officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
