Timothy J. “Renegade” Costa, 62, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on January 19th, 2021 while on a delivery in California.

Tim was born on March 27th, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio to James and Virginia Caruso Costa.  He worked 40+ years living his dream as a long-haul truck driver.  Tim took great pride in his work and would always say, “If you’re eating it, wearing it, or using it, it was delivered by a trucker.”  You always knew when Tim was home from a long haul as the sound of the air brakes of his truck would often wake the neighborhood in the wee hours of the morning.

Tim worked for many companies over the years but most notably was Irmar, Penske, and Panther Logistics, where he was able to become an owner/operator.

When Tim was home, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He loved washing his cars, cooking, grilling, Nascar, and the Cleveland Browns.  Tim had an infectious personality and he never knew a stranger.  He will be greatly missed.

Tim is survived in legacy by his loving wife, Rhonda, and his sons Blake of Richmond, IN, and Daniel (Jenny) of Wesley Chapel, FL.  He is also survived by his father James Costa, brother  Dennis (Stephanie) Costa, 3 grandchildren, Sophie, Caleb, and Jonas, all of Wesley Chapel, FL.  Tim also leaves behind his only Godson, Dorian C. Gordon of Richmond, IN, and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Tim’s final mile will be the highway to Heaven, where he will be reunited with his daughter, Brooke, and his mother Virginia.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be announced by the family at a later date. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at stegallbertheideorr.com.
