Terry Moore Green, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 19th, 2021. Terry was born August 21st, 1941, in Muncie, IN to the late Clifford A. Green and Myrtle C. (Southerland) Green. He graduated from Yorktown High School in 1959.
Terry worked for the Pepsi Co. for several years before opening his own restaurant, TeGre’s in Losantville in 1979. Following that, Terry worked at Union School in the maintenance department. He also made appearances as the “Rocket Rooster” on special occasions. For the remainder of his working career, he worked as a contractor installing siding and windows.
Besides spending time with his family and friends, Terry enjoyed tinkering around at home. He was always busy planning or working on his next project. He also enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, listening to gospel music and watching old Westerns on television. He loved Christmas and enjoyed displaying his growing Christmas village each year. Terry was kind hearted with a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Terry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pamela (Brooks) Green; children Laura (Brian) Means, Shelley (soul mate, Dave) Green, Daniel (Kristi) Green, Jeff Green and Lisa (Rich) Brown; grandchildren Calvin Phillips, Wyatt Means, Cassandra Duffy, Gabriele and Grace Green, Daniel Green and Ryley, Owen and Emersyn Brown. Also surviving is brother Keith Green and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry was a long time member of Antioch Christian Church. He was an active member of the Gideons and spoke frequently at churches in the area and passed out Bibles at various events. He also served on the Losantville town board.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 28th at Antioch Christian Church, 101 W. 2nd St., Losantville IN with Rev. Jerry Bowlin officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am-1:00 pm with funeral service starting at 1:00 pm.
