Lifetime Connersville resident Stanley Clark, 74, died Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Reid Health in Richmond.
Stanley was born to James B. and Bessie Blanton Clark on December 4, 1946. He attended Connersville High School graduating with the class of 1966. Stanley was a devoted husband to the former Ada Ruth McFarland, whom preceded him in death on August 12, 2021.
Stanley worked hard all of his life, he was employed with D & M and later with Freudenberg-NOK. In his younger years he belonged to D&M bowling league. Stanley loved to be outdoors; he spent much of his free time hunting. He took many trips to places such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin etc., with his hunting buddies. Depending on the season, he would bring home deer, coon, and his all-time favorite, mushrooms. Stanley was an avid bow hunter, and competed in many archery competitions with his son. He enjoyed tending to his gardens and feeding the hummingbirds that would visit his home.
Stanley never met a stranger; he was a man of his word and would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. Above all, he was a family man. He adored spending time with his family and taking care of them to the best of his ability. While Ruth was sick, Stanley never left her side. He will be deeply missed by those whom love him.
Stanley is survived by his son: Doug Clark and his significant other Heather; daughter: Rena Jo Coffman and her husband Kevin, all of Connersville; brother: Hershel Clark and Jackie of Connersville; sisters: Bonnie Hughes, Shirley Borgerding and Ed, Carolyn Linville and her fiancé Roger Dice; brothers-in-law: Jim Gragg and Ronnie Philpot; grandchildren: Ambria and Chance; canine grandchildren: Piper and Maya; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, Stanley is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Betty Gragg, Donna Philpot, Brenda Miller; brothers-in-law: Earl McFarland, Gary Chapman, Bill Klopp, Hershel S. Hughes; sister-in-law: Eva Chapman.
