Sharon Ann Stiens, age 75, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, September 24, 2021, at Reid Health.
Born April 19, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, to Dale Via and Mary Elizabeth Prows Via, Sharon was a life-long resident of this community. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1964. Sharon was a member of Surety Community Church, and the Tarum Shrine Ladies Club – LOSNA. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, old black and white movies, car racing – both Indy cars and NASCAR, and doing crafts. Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, David Stiens, who she married on February 25, 1983; son, Stephen Via of Richmond; step-daughter, Susan Chesnut of Richmond; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Carolyn) Via of Richmond, Gary (Nancy) Via of Richmond, and Jerry Via of St. Petersburg, Florida; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Sharon Ann Stiens will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio.
The family requests that masks be worn while attending the services.
