Sandra M. “Sandy” Wagers, age 66, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Reid Health.
Born July 20, 1954, in Richmond, Indiana, to Loren and Margaret Brumley Steele, Sandy was a life-long resident of this community. She worked as a CPA at H&R Block for more than 40 years. Sandy was a faithful supporter of Help The Animals, Inc. She enjoyed traveling and had been to 48 states and Canada. Sandy was loved by all who knew her and was a “mom” to many.
Survivors include her sons, Jake Wagers of Richmond and Adam (Holly) Wagers of Indianapolis, Indiana; siblings, Rita Robinson of Richmond, Mike (Fay) Steele of West Virginia, Lora Harter of Anderson, Indiana, Tony (Brenda) Steele of Kentucky, Tim (Teresa) Steele of Florida, and Jon (Kelly) Steele of Ohio; aunt; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service for Sandra M. “Sandy” Wagers will be announced by the family at at later date. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
