Russell Clifton Radford, age 81, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Reid Health.
Russell was born on May 4, 1939, in Cumberland, Kentucky, the youngest child of Travis and Ola Radford. He served in the U.S. Army. Russell was a father who struggled in many ways to show his children he cared. Russell will be missed by his grandchildren, who never met him in this life. To his credit, Russell was sober when he passed.
Survivors include his children; grandchildren; and many friends, including special friends of more than 30 years, Bill W. and Doctor Bob.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jarrod; parents; and siblings.
Russell’s cremains will be taken home to Kentucky to rest among his family. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
Memorial contributions may be made to a local Alcoholics Anonymous group (AA) to purchase Big Books for newcomers or to a local mental health facility.
