Ronald L. True, 76, of Cambridge City passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Henry Community Health. He was born January 19, 1945 in Henry County, Indiana, a son of the late Richard and Edna (Huse) True.
Ron retired from Chrysler Corporation on September 30, 1999 and farmed in Henry County area for 20 years. He was an avid horseman & enjoyed trail riding and camping with family and friends. He was a member of New Testament Church of Christ in Hagerstown and former member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Ron enjoyed attending tractor shows with his brother, Maurice and his family. He loved spending time with his “Thursday supper friends” & small group from New Testament Church. Ron had wonderful neighbors who he enjoyed helping & visiting. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Carolyn (Rains) True, whom he married July 12, 1963; daughters, Kara (Earl) Wilkinson of Cambridge City, Lora (Todd) Poor of Boomer, North Carolina and Jean (Terroll) Snavely of New Castle; grandchildren, Cody Poor, Kristen (Brad) Miller, Carly Poor, Katelyn (Corey) Fultz, Trevor Snavely and Rachel Snavely; great grandchildren, Cohen & Quinn Miller, Judah Fultz, Everleigh Fultz (arriving October 2021); brother, Maurice (Linda) True of New Castle; sister, Phyllis Cherry of Arlington; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Gearhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to New Testament Church of Christ debt reduction.
