Robert F. Zwissler, age 83, Richmond, passed away on September 15, 2021 at Reid Health after a brief stay at Golden Rule. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on March 15, 1938 to Edwin and Katherine Haustetter Zwissler. Robert started working at Earlham Cemetery at age 14 and retired at the age of 79 after several years of part-time service. He joined the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam area. After being honorably discharged, Robert worked at Brinker Beverage company for 3 years and then Juerling Beverage Company for 12 years as a delivery truck driver. He lived in Garland, Texas for a short period and then moved to Vero Beach, Florida before moving back to Richmond. Robert enjoyed walking and was an avid reader of Westerns and true crime. He also enjoyed writers Bob Woodward, John Grisham and David Baldacci. He greatly enjoyed deep sea fishing when he resided in his favorite city, Vero Beach, Florida.

He is survived by his daughter Monica Marie Zwissler; brother Jack Zwissler; 3 grandsons DeWayne, Robert (Tristan), Joshua (Jen), 5 great-grandchildren Isaiah, Chloe, Alisyn, Brinleigh and Mira. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Carla Zwissler; sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Alan Coons; companion Ramona Jones; nephew Brandon Taggart and sister-in-law Shirley Zwissler.

Services for Robert will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday September 24, 2021 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Mike Ballard will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
