Ricky L. Orr, 71, of Spiceland passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born October 11, 1949 in Henry County, Indiana, a son of the late Harold Jr. and Ruby Evelyn (Catron) Orr.

Ricky retired from Allegheny-Ludlum in 2010 after 36 years of service. He belonged to United Steel Workers Union #8535 where he was also known as “Joe Hill”. Ricky was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and was a Cub Scout Leader in Spiceland for 11 years. A knife and gun collector, he enjoyed camping, bowling, traveling and western movies. Above all, Ricky loved his grandchildren and never met a stranger.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 51 years: Cecilia Victoria “Vicky” (Worth) Orr, whom he married October 10, 1970; daughter, Sonja Danelle (Chris) Russell of New Albany; two sons, David Harold Orr of Spiceland and Justin Lee (Lacey) Orr of Connersville; “adopted” son, Travis Lyle Worth (Samantha) at Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Liberty, Joshua and Jacob Russell, all of New Albany, Kaiser & Caeser Orr of Connersville, Emma, Logan, Chloe & Charlie Marie Worth of Louisville, Kentucky; siblings, Vickie Joe (Samuel) Swinford of Middletown, Connie Sue (Johnny) Ripberger of Greensboro, Darrell Ray (Terrie) Orr of Wilkinson, Carol Fay Ford of New Castle; several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a cousin, Bobby Bow and many aunts & uncles.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Mal Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with a time for sharing special memories at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Murat Shriners, 510 N.
