Rick D. Dicken, 62, of New Castle passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Henry Community Health due to Covid-19. He was born October 15, 1959 in Burkesville, KY, a son of the late John L. and Anna Jewel (Rush) Dicken.

A 1979 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, he worked in construction for many years, working for Thompson Builders as well as other companies. He had worked as a horse trainer in New York in his earlier years. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, especially taking his nieces and nephews fishing.
An outgoing person, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and attended Open Arms Church in New Castle.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Teresa Boling of New Castle; a daughter, Ashley (Lloyd) King of Colony, NY; two grandchildren, Lacey and Dominic King; sister, Sheila Rouse of TN; brothers, Greg Dicken of Bowling Green, KY, and John “Rex” (Sherry) Dicken of New Castle; several nieces and nephews, including Wesley Ream, Shyianne Alexander, and Jonathan Dicken; great niece, Scarlett Mena; aunts, Joyce, Georgia, and Sally; several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Anna Jewel Dicken.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at HInsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, followed by a time of sharing.
