Rhonda Marie (Richards) Horan
Greenwood, IN – Mrs. Rhonda Marie (Richards) Horan, 66, died peacefully in her sleep recently at her Greenwood home surrounded by her loving and caring family. She had gallantly fought myriad of serious illnesses for several years, including but not limited to, diabetes, congestive heart failure and kidney failure. She was the daughter of Ronnie Richards, and his late wife, Charlotte Marie.
She was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1974. After her future husband graduated from Ball State University, and teaching for several years, she married the love of her life, Patrick Horan of Anderson, IN. Soon thereafter the couple joined the United States Army with the vow of making the military service their career. An unforeseen accident while stationed in Germany forced Pat to retire his commission from the Army and the family returned to this area where Pat resumed his teaching career. Until retiring Rhonda was employed by HP Products, Indianapolis, in the Human Resources Department. Prior to marrying and leaving for Germany, Rhonda worked as an advertising representative for the now defunct National Road Traveler.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Sean (wife Stacy), Scott (fiancé Shannon), and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia. There will be no public calling, and the private funeral services will be conducted later this year at the convenience of the family. She will be interned at the Horan Family burial plot in Anderson. Memorial contributions should be made to your church or favorite charity.
