Paul Eric Hewitt, 50, of Richmond, IN, passed away Monday, January 25th, 2021, at his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Paul Eric Hewitt was born on June 6th, 1970 in Oxnard, CA, and is the son of Lynn and Russell Hewitt of Western Australia.
Paul graduated from Armadale Senior High School in Perth suburb of Western Australia, and continued on to receive his certification as an electrician upon his return to the United States.
Paul was employed by Johns Manville of Richmond, IN, as Electrical Maintenance.
Paul was married to Tina Ellen Hewitt (Durham) on July 9th, 2018. Even though they didn’t make it to their promised “40 year anniversary,” they clung tightly to their vows of “Until death do we part,” always trusting and understanding that “Many are the plans in the mind of man, but it is the purpose of The Lord that will stand.” (Proverbs 19:21)
Paul was a loving, loyal, generous and stubborn man all at the same time. He had an amazing sense of humor and could pick you up on your worst day with one of his many hilarious quirky moves. He enjoyed traveling, music, playing golf, football, great conversation, and he never met a stranger. He was always an avid game player, but he dominated World of War Craft. In Paul’s most recent years, his FAVORITE moments, and BEST TIMES were when he was able to spend time playing with, snuggling, and babying his grandchildren, along with talking with his boys and bragging about how they were both growing into being amazing young men.
Paul is survived by and leaves to cherish his memories with loved ones from around the world. His wife, Tina Hewitt of Richmond, IN. Two sons, Devon Hewitt of Paul’s Valley, OK, and Brayden Hewitt of Bangs, TX. Four step children; Brett Durham & (wife/Daughter In Law) Michaela Durham of Richmond, IN, Kaitlin Bales & (husband/Son In Law) Dylan Bales of Richmond, IN. Erin Sabados of Richmond, IN. Trey Sabados of Richmond, IN. Eight beautiful grandchildren who adored their “Crab-paw”; Elyzian, Lenly, Sebastian, Marceline, Lucian, Mia, Bailey, and Bubby (TaQuton), all of Richmond, IN. Parents Lynn & Russell of Western Australia. Sisters Corie (Hewitt) & husband Joe Rhodes, nephews Jesson & Tyler, of Perth, Australia, Emma (Hewitt) & husband Martin Haisch of Frankfurt, Germany. Aunt Cathie Dahar (Jed), and cousins Stephen Bryan, daughter Lily; Kelly Bryan, daughter Gabriella and son Jon Paul; All from Tuscan, AZ. Along with his favorite cousin, best friend, and partner in crime, Abby Bryan Wuersching (Erich), son Evan of New Mexico. Mother in Law, Pam Cheek of Noblesville, IN. Father in Law, Doug Durham & (wife) Lilly Durham of Richmond, IN. Brother in Law, Todd Durham & (wife) Kati Durham; nieces and nephews; Tracey, Dakota, Madison, Nicholas, and great nieces and nephews. He also leaves to cherish his memories his Best Friend & Co-Worker, Gary Leachman of Richmond, IN, and Special Friend Gabrielle McBride & daughter Sophia.
Paul was preceded in death by his brother Allen Hewitt of Western Australia, Uncle Edwin Bryan III of Arizona, Grandparents and Great Grandparents.

A “Celebration Of Life” will be held for Paul on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021, at 320 South 5th St., (the YMI), from 2pm-6pm for family, friends, and loved ones, who would like to stop by and share in His memories, love and laughter.
