Norma Jean Vallandingham, age 87, of Cambridge City, Indiana, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Reid Health.

Born January 7, 1934, in Richmond, Indiana, to Herbert George and Thelma H. Crawford Rees, Jean was a life-long resident of this community. She worked as an accountant at American Water Works and had previously worked at Graphic Press. Jean was of the Presbyterian faith. She enjoyed being a Girl Scouts volunteer. Above all, Jean loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of almost 68 years, Jack A. Vallandingham; children, Janice (Bruce) Johnson of Danville, Illinois, Jay (Connie) Vallandingham of Cambridge City, Jone Vallandingham of Charleston, South Carolina, and Jolene Vallandingham (Bruce) of Richmond, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Visitation for Norma Jean Vallandingham will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Sandy Ewen officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
