Neil A. McCoy, 85, of Greens Fork, died at his home on Thursday, March 11, 2021 following a brief illness.
He was born in Henry County on April 15, 1935 to Ralph and Roberta (Hartley) McCoy. He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and attended Norwich University. He served with the US Air Force. He was a retired employee of Alcoa in Richmond. Neil was a member of American Legion Post 333, Hagerstown and AmVets Post 38, Greens Fork.
Survivors include his wife, Pat McCoy; a son, Jerry A. (Dee Dee) McCoy; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Longardner and Shawn (Britney) McCoy; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Myron McCoy; a sister, Karen Clampitt; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald McCoy and a grandson, Cody McCoy.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 18, at Sugar Grove Community Church. Pastor Adam Rinehart will officiate. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
