Miriam L. Bullen Philhower (Pee Wee), 89, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at Golden Living Center. Pee Wee was born on May 4, 1932, in Lewisville, Indiana but lived in Richmond from an early age. She attended Richmond schools and graduated from Richmond High School.
On June 23, 1950, she married the love of her life, Charles Philhower. They were married 71 years. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Pee Wee was a master homemaker. Her immaculate home and scrumptious meals will long be remembered. She loved to travel, shop, and prepare for holiday gatherings.
She is survived by her husband Charles, son Paul Philhower (Rebecca) of Indianapolis, daughter Robin Kullerstrand of Richmond, grandchildren Megan Philhower and Marci Early Johnson (JR), great-grandchildren Zoe Philhower, Tziporah, and Isiyas Johnson, nieces, and nephews.
Pee Wee was preceded in death by her grandson Timothy Philhower, sister Coralyn Armbruster, brother Max Bullen, and parents Vivian and Warren Bullen.
Funeral services for Miriam will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Holman officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
