Mildred Allen, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Reid Health.

Born July 18, 1927, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Clarence and Mattie Thacker Abrams, Mildred lived in Richmond most of her life. She worked as a quality control supervisor at PRC Recording Company from 1945 until it closed in 1986. Mildred was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Richmond and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAV). She was a seamstress and quilter. Mildred also loved to crochet.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathi (Michael) Mullens of Losantville, Indiana; son, Gary (Gayle) Allen of Orem, Utah; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Trudy Webb of Richmond; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Kennison “Jack” Allen, who died September 14, 1987; grandsons, Jeffrey and Kenny Arnold; great-granddaughter, Courtney; sisters, Marie Craft, Artina Abrams, Sophia Abrams, and Betty L. Williams; and brothers, Lloyd, Ed, and Chester Abrams.

Visitation for Mildred Allen will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Mildred’s family speaking. Private burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
