Mary Kaucher, age 98, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Brookdale Richmond.
Born November 14, 1922, in Greens Fork, Indiana, to Carl J. and Jessie Ellen Mull Martin, Mary was a life-long resident of Wayne County, Indiana. She retired from D&M (Design & Manufacturing) in Richmond. Mary was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church. She loved her family.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Dianne) Kaucher of Greenfield, Indiana, and Jerald (Regina) Kaucher of Lewisburg, Ohio; grandsons, Jeffrey (Casey) Kaucher, Andrew (Katrina) Kaucher, and Brian (Emily) Kaucher; step-grandson, Josh (Amanda) Koger; great-grandsons, Colten Kaucher and Owen Koger; great-granddaughters, Keegyn, Abilene, Hannah, Julietta, and Norah Kaucher and Charlotte Koger; step-great- granddaughter, Jordan (Elijah) Peters; great-great-grandson, Liam Peters; brother, Carl (Dora) Martin Jr.; sister-in-law, Fay Ann Martin; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Ernest E. Kaucher, who died February 11, 1982; parents; twin sister, Sarah Brown and sisters, Mabel Spraker and Mildred “Susie” Martin; brothers, James Ellis, Clyde, Lawrence, Howard, Lyman, Lynn, Guy, Kermit, and Paul Martin.
Visitation for Mary Kaucher will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Logan Dysart officiating. Please plan to wear your own mask in the funeral home. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
