Marvin Dale “Marv” Baney, age 74, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, November 12, 2021, at Reid Health.
Born July 1, 1947, in Muncie, Indiana, to Lovell and Doris Raisor Baney, Marv moved to Wayne County, Indiana, in 1973. He earned his master’s degree from Ball State University. Marv was an Earth Science teacher at Richmond High School and I.U. East. He enjoyed biking, jogging, golfing, and reading.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sharon Ladd Baney; sons, Norman (Sharon) of Rockhill, South Carolina, and Kevin Baney of Greenville, Ohio; grandchildren, Alyssa (Ty) Schleisman of Kentucky, Skyler Baney and Graysen Baney, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Wyatt Baney and Rylee Baney, both of Rockhill; great-granddaughter, Pasley Schleisman; brother, Gary (Nancy) Baney of Indianapolis, Indiana; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial visitation for Marvin Dale “Marv” Baney will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home.
