MaDonna Kay Flowers, age 69, a resident of Spiceland, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation in New Castle, In. She was born June 5, 1952, in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of John and Betty (Stuart) Hicks.
MaDonna married John Flowers on September 11, 1970, and together they had three children, Tonya, Traci, and Ryan. She enjoyed being a housewife and mother. She loved cooking, bingo and spending time with all of her family, especially the grandkids. MaDonna was loved and never had any enemies.
Left to cherish her loving memory include her husband of 51 years, John Flowers, Spiceland, In., a daughter, Tonya Flowers (husband, James Burke) of Anderson, Indiana; four brothers, Jim Dave (wife, Barb) Hicks of Florida, John Raymond (wife, Nancy) Hicks of New Castle, Steve Allen (wife, Danielle) Hicks of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Richard Wayne Hicks of New Castle; three sisters, Judy (husband, Larry) Dick of New Lisbon, Mary Moore of New Castle, and Diana Sue (husband, Albert) Poe of New Castle, Indiana; four grandchildren, Jessica (husband, Jake) Scarbough of Chatanooga, Tennessee, Kelsei (husband, Ryan) Santini of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Sydney Flowers (fiancé, Caleb Dean) of Knightstown, Indiana, Logan Barkey of Spiceland, Indiana; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by two children, Traci Stockton and Ryan Flowers; her mother and father, John and Betty Hicks; mother and father-in-law, John H. and Mary Jane Flowers.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Macer-Hall-Marcum Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad St., New Castle with Reverend James Rector officiating. Friends may call beginning 12:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral directors and staff are honored to serve the Flowers family.
