Lynnae S. McConaha passed away on August 9, 2021 after a long fight against congestive heart failure and cancer. She was born in California to Emmanual and Susan Switko on June 19, 1951. Lynnae moved to New Mexico after high school to attend University of New Mexico, where she met her husband Will in 1973 near Albuquerque. After the birth of their first two children, they moved to Richmond Indiana to be near Will’s family. Lynnae and Will created a tight knit family for over 25 years in Indiana, where they were one of only a few homeschooling families in Richmond. After Will retired from Belden, they moved back to New Mexico and found new hobbies and friendships.

Lynnae had a passion for the fiber arts, spinning and dying yarn, weaving, knitting, botanical dying of silk and selling raw silk and organic cotton. All of these skills and passions she passed on to many adults and children throughout her lifetime. She also enjoyed jewelry making, watercolors, gardening, feeding and enjoying hundreds of hummingbirds each year. She loved hiking with her trusty dog Zach.

Lynnae is loved and missed dearly by her children, Daisy (Bejay) Rahn, Annah McConaha, Elisha (Andy) Frazier, Mandy McConaha and Jeremy (Georgia) McConaha; four grandchildren; sisters Dusty Morgan and Rose Moffet of California, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband Will and parents. Memorial service to be held at a later date in Mimbres, New Mexico (TBD). Correspondence with family can be sent to Elisha Frazier, 6371 Smyrna Rd, Richmond IN 47374 or elmtreepottery@aol.com.
