Leland Jeffries Davis III, age 67, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Reid Health.
Leland was born on November 17, 1953, in Glendale, California, to Leland Jeffries Davis II and Betty Lou Lewis Davis. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force. Leland worked as an aircraft hydraulic systems maintainer with the Civil Service. He enjoyed woodworking, shopping, cooking, camping, feeding the squirrels, and driving his truck.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Sharon Davis; children, Jeffrey Davis of Colorado and Kelly Davis of Washington; stepchildren, Kyle Baumgardner of Arizona and Angela Conway and Candace Hamilton, both of Connersville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Alexia, Alaina, J.J., Marty, and Henry; step-grandchildren, Curtland Vanhook, Tori Nunn, Rachelle Hamilton, and Ricky Lee Hamilton; brothers-in-law, Randy and Glen Sparks; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Leland Jeffries Davis III will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Kay Isaacs officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery in Connersville with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
