Larry D. Mangus, age 50, passed away November 1, 2021. He was born October 31, 1971, the son of Vickie Detharidge.
Larry was a resident of Wayne County and drove a semi for many years before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in social services. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved animals, kids and old people. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Larry had a big heart and would do anything for anyone.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife: Lynnette Mangus; daughter: Robbie; son: Dustin; his mother; three sisters: Julie Mangus, LeeAnn Marie Maynard and Tammy Goins; brother: Jason (Margaret) Mangus; brother-in-law: Gene Clapp; and a host of other relatives and many special friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Alton and Edeanor Mangus; his father; and his father and mother-in-law: Harry and Joan Clapp.
Funeral services will be held at Community Family Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends may visit the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
