Kimmie Jaye McCracken, 62,of Richmond,  passed from this earthly home to her eternal heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 29th at 12:05 AM at her home surrounded by her family and beloved friends. Kimmie was born on April 13, 1959, in Connersville, IN. One of the daughters of William Francis Traylor and Dorothy Irene Cooley. She moved to Richmond at a young age and lived out her life here. She is a graduate of IU East where she earned her teaching degree in elementary education and had taught at Richmond Community Schools. She was a faithful member, secretary, and Sunday school teacher at Stone Valley Church where she loved working with the kids and loved each one like her very own. She was very active in the Wayne County jail ministry where she loved ministering to the inmates in groups or individually preaching, teaching, and leading them to the lord. She continued her work by participating in the Dive program at Fairview School. In her spare time, she was an avid scrapbooker attending scrapbooking retreats in Alabama, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and other states meeting and making many special friends, she also was an administrator for Speak Out Scanners where she enjoyed posting about our law enforcement’s activity and helping in any way possible. Many lives were touched by her unconditional love, generosity and that beautiful smile she always had.

Kimmie is survived by her husband of 30 years Jack B. McCracken and son Lucas Robert McCracken of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, four sisters Kathy Traylor of Richmond, Karen (Mark) Millis of Indianapolis, Kelly (John) Thrasher of Danville, Mary (Juan) Rodrigues of Indianapolis, one brother Jay W McFarland of Bloomington, nieces, and nephews and two very special ones Jahson and Lydia who she loved so much.

Services for Kimmie will be 1 PM Monday, January 3rd at Stone Valley Church with Pastor Anthony White officiating. Friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM at the church with the funeral following, burial will be at Goshen Cemetery.
